Taking Care of One of Our Own

Many of us have been friends with Travis Culver for years, for me for well over a decade.  Travis has spent most of his adult life in Christian radio.  Travis spent 11 years working his way up at KTSY from overnight shift tracker, to PM Drive Host and then PD.  In 2014 he left KTSY and started “Media for the Rest of Us.”   Up until his illness last year, he also was voicetracking weekends on WGTS and fundraising with i58:10 Media.

Travis is fighting cancer. Just recently the doctor shared with his family there are no more treatments they are able to offer my good friend.  Personally, I’m praying for a complete healing of this wonderful comrade that many of us have grown to love over the years. In addition to praying, I want to honor Travis. This is where I need your help!
A benefit concert will be held for Travis on Friday, May 5th in Boise, ID. David Smallbone and for KING & COUNTRY have agreed to provide an amazing concert to celebrate Travis and help with the expenses his family has incurred. All proceeds from this event will go to his family. KTSY is providing everything needed to promote the concert and the venue is free. Jerry Woods from WGTS and myself are planning on being there that night and are also inviting all of our radio friends that can to make the trip and join us for this very special night.

This event will be held at
Eagle Christian Church in Eagle, ID, Friday, May 5th at 7pm.

If you can’t make it to the concert we would love it if you would record a short video message for Travis. We will put them all together in a special video from our industry to him. The video deadline is Monday, April 24th.  Each video should be shot in a horizontal format and be 30 seconds or less. Please send video messages to eugene@wgts919.com.

So many people are making this event a possibility, truly a team effort. I want to thank CMB, HisAir, AllAccess, KTSY, for KING & COUNTRY and countless others that are donating their time, finances and skills to make this event a reality.
