Paranormal Activity 3…Open Doors?

Romans 8:15

The Spirit that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we cry out, “ Abba, Father.”

God has not given me a spirit of fear and I will not go to the movies to pay $10.00 to receive it.  Why would I open doors for Satan to begin to torment me.  It amazes me how many Christians have gone to see Paranormal Activity  3 as though no door will not be opened spiritually.

One person who reviewed Paranormal Activity 3 said, “The last 15 minutes will mess up your life forever.”  I am not sure a whole lot more needs to be said but let me take a stab at it.

Paranormal Activity 3 is a motion picture that is based on FEAR!  The normal person will take away fear as they watch a movie about demons and those who play with a Ouija board.

Let me begin with a short story as we begin to talk about movies based on demons.  Over the last couple of weeks I have been talking with a young man that saw the movie Halloween last year.  Since seeing the movie he now wants to be the man in the movie that killed people.  He is tormented since seeing the movie.  He has thoughts of killing people and cannot get those thoughts out of his head.  He knows it all began when he watched the movie Halloween.  He didn’t know about opening doors while watching this kind of film.  The good news is he is getting help and doing better but why would he face this kind of torment in the first place right?  He told me the other day that he would give everything he owns to get peace back in his life.   They told me the other night on the phone they would never open those doors again by seeing a movie that is centered around fear.

When you dabble with the spirit world you will be impacted in some way.  When you put violence, demons, and playing with a Ouija board all into one flick what do you think you’ll take away from it?

Ephesians 6:8, “Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.”

We should take Satan and demon’s serious.  This isn’t a game.  When you look at the fact that 40% of Christian don’t even believe Satan is real but just a figure for evil, it’s no wonder why so many Christian’s are struggling.  They don’t even know the battle is for real much less for keeps!

As I wrote in my latest book, The Day Satan Called, I also had open doors spiritually years ago.  I had some occult objects left in my home from an individual I was trying to help.  I had lights turning on and off turing the night.  Doors where opening and closing.  The three week terror in my home ended with a black figure walking down my hallway.  I grew up Independent Baptist, this kind of thing wasn’t suppose to happen.  After getting rid of the occult objects in my home things went back to normal.  Even though I was a Christian in full-time ministry, I had open doors.  Satan didn’t care that I had no clue that stuff was in my home.  He just looks for open doors.

Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge…..”

I would encourage you to really pray before going to see Paranormal Activity 3 or any other movie that glorifies Satan, demons, witches, wizards and spells.  Satan is playing for keeps and would like nothing more than for you to open doors for fear to dominate your life.

I just talked in detail about the book and the battle we are all in with Janet Parshall on the radio last Tuesday.  I would encourage you to listen to the program.  CLICK HERE TO LISTEN.  To read the first chapter of my book The Day Satan Called for free, just go to my Facebook page.

I would really appreciate your comments.  Please post them below.  I am going to leave you with a short video below if you would like to watch it.  Nothing fancy.

Merry Christmas,

This is interesting. However, I read some of your book and I had to put it down becuase I felt scared. I do not like watching or reading anything with horror simply because it makes me nervous and scared all the time. So I was just wondering where would you label or categorize your book?

Thanks for your comment. I would put the book in the spiritual warfare category. There is some great teaching if you keep reading. No need to be fearful, Gods power can overcome evil.
